The legendary band UB40 is set to bring its sweet reggae pop vibes to the island for a one-off concert at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre (SVICC) on 20 July. Formed in 1978 in Birmingham, UB40 have become one of the most celebrated bands in UK music history, with over 50 singles in the UK Top 40 and over 70 million records sold worldwide. As part of their world tour, the legendary UB40 will be making a stop in Mauritius for a special concert celebrating the release of their latest album, Bigga Baggariddim. Founding members Robin Campbell, Jimmy Brown, Earl Falconer and Norman Hassan, surrounded by their long-standing musicians Martin Meredith, Laurence Parry and Tony Mullings, as well as the talented lead singer Matt Doyle, will take to the SVICC stage to offer Mauritian audiences a magical moment.
